Blind or Sad

This morning I went to Target to run a few errands and decided to stop by our favorite fruit/ vegetable stand and get our first bag of peaches for the year (our favorite stand is just barely west of Target). These peaches are our favorite! Very flavorful and juicy! The juice literally just streams down your arm! But the stand was GONE! I was bummed. I decided to just get some peaches from some other place, because as I recall from summers past, there are a whole bunch of little stands between Target and home. But I didn't see a single one. I might be a little bit blind?? I'm hoping I'm just blind, otherwise I am so sad that they are gone! Does anyone know what happened to these amazing produce stands or where they are now located? I'm not talking just peaches, but the produce stands in general.

4th of July

I am sooooooo excited for the 4th of July, it is my absolute favorite holiday!!! Probably because I grew up in southeast Idaho where they have the Idaho Falls fireworks--the largest fireworks display west of the Mississippi!! (If you don't believe me google melaleuca freedom celebration) My family, especially my dad, is extremely patriotic, and we have a great respect for this beautiful land where we live. I love everything about it! Dutch oven dinners, floating the river, 4-wheeling, sno cones, and of course the fireworks. There is nothing quite like it. I remember as a kid, we would have to leave in the late afternoon so that we could get a good place (100s of thousands of people go) and just playing games like Uno or Rummy or whatever other games we brought while we waited for the fireworks to begin (around 10). The best feeling is the overwhelming love you feel for this great country as you watch the fireworks that go off in time to patriotic music and in the shapes of hearts, and the American flag, and everything else. This year we are making a trip to Idaho and probably going to hit Yellowstone, go 4-wheeling, maybe go bridge jumping and of course the fireworks!!!! I can't wait.

The Temple!

Jacob and I haven't been to a Ward temple night since we've been married. We've really wanted to go the last few times they have had them (because they always get enough people to sign up so that a member of the temple presidency gets to speak) but we don't want to ask someone in the ward like home or visiting teachers to babysit, because if they have the time then they should get to go too!! But tonight my dad is going to be here and is going to babysit!! WAHOOOO!

The Zoo

This post is a little late...Nearly 2 weeks ago I went to the zoo with my sister and her/my friend. It was soo much fun!

Below: Landen, Ang, Sammie, me!

This adorable monkey is balding and wrinkled.. He was born in 1962 and has arthritis! he was sooo cute he just hobbled around!

The below picture is a little bit dark, but you can see the elephant in the back!

Cute Steph with Sammie! Steph was such a big help with the babies, and sooooo much fun to have with us!

And we have mobility!!

So a little over a week and a half ago Samantha scooted forward for her first time. I was really happy the next day when she seemed to have forgotten.. I wasn't quite ready to chase after her all day and baby proof the house! For the next few days she just scooted backwards like normal. Then, she remembered how to go forwards again and my life hasn't been the same since! She isn't particularly fast yet, but is definitely getting there. She doesn't crawl yet, but almost, she gets up on her knees and kinda takes a few "steps" then launches herself forward onto her stomach! So cute! I've spent all week cleaning and vacuum at Least every other day... And she is terrified of the vacuum so, lucky me I either have to hold her while vacuuming (which, surprisingly isn't all that hard) or wait until Jacob is home. I was so sure she wasn't going to be crawling until she was 9 or 10 months! Who knew it would be at 7???

No sleep tonight!!!!!

I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep tonight!!! A few days ago I woke up with a couple of bug bites (I think they are spider bites but am trying to convince myself they aren't) along my hairline on the right side of my face. This morning I had another one on the backside of my earlobe on the left side. I tried to convince myself that one was a zit but after Jacob took a look at it and informed me it was a spider bite, I am freaking out!!! I am not going to be able to sleep!!! Hello spiders in my hair!!!!!!!!!!!
Some of you may think I am being way over dramatic but obviously you don't have the same terror/horror of spiders as I do!!!!
